Creating alias/shortcut to SCORM files on Amazon S3

Creating alias/shortcut to SCORM files on Amazon S3

Hello,

We would like to host our SCORM files in a central location and create a link from that location to many different Moodle instances.  This would allow us to update the content in one location and deploy those updates to all of our Moodle instances automatically.

We followed the instructions found here, but our SCORM files are hosted on Amazon S3, and the S3 repository does not give you the option to "create an alias/shortcut to the file".  This option does appear when we select the "Server Files" from the file picker though, but that's not very helpful for us.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for how we can accomplish this?  Preferably without having to transfer all of our SCORM files out of Amazon S3.  Thank you very much in advance.

FYI - We're running on Moodle 2.8.6.

In Dropbox repository, you can make aliases / shortcuts to scorm files.

Works fine when creating course and adding scorm.

However, when you update the scormfile on dropbox, courses are not updated even with settings on daily update or every time it is used
