- Points in competency rules is just a way to trigger an action on a parent competency (Mark as complete, attach evidence or recommend) depending on rules on the child competencies. Points give you the possibility to add some more or less weight to child competencies on completing the parent one (Some maybe more important competencies ). In your example, giving equal points to all child competencies and say they are all required would do the same thing as choosing the option "when all children are completed".
- Like I said in a previous post (https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=336350), "Cross-referencing competencies do nothing more than showing competencies related to one another. I think the purpose is to make it easier for students who would build their own plan to find competencies to add". There is not other logic or mechanism here.
