I can't find anywhere to confirm my suspicions, but it appears to me that Moodle (or perhaps SCORM itself) doesn't allow to open a second SCORM package while keeping the current one open. I am using Moodle 2.9, publishing content from Storyline 2.0, using the SCORM 1.2 LMS Output Option. Here is my scenario:
We would like to provide the learner a "resource guide" to related eLearning content. So we've created a Storyline file with links built in. We've tried linking to the Course Page (/course/view.php?id=XX) as well as to the Activity Page (/mod/scorm/view.php?id=XX), and in both cases we get the same result. It will open in a new window or tab, but as soon as the learner clicks the link to launch the second SCORM package, it replaces the current window so they are no longer in the resource guide but instead in the new related course.
Is there any way to allow a learner to keep the current SCORM package open, and still open a second SCORM package?
