)In our installation we have a course that is a "library" where the students can go for information about our physical libraries. We have a script/hack that means that everyone who visits the "library" automagically becomes a student on the library course.
In the "library" course we have just started to use the default news forum, the forum setup states that No-one is forced to subscribe and the "people subscribed to this forum" link states no-one is subscribed, also from rooting around the backend database (forum_subscriptions table) no-one has chosen to subscribe.
But people are getting emailled any new posts to this forum.
Does the news forum send emails any way to course members? If it does , does anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening.
