I just thought I'd let you know that I was planning a release of Essential for M2.9, M3.0 and M3.1 today (12th July 2016) but a few issues were raised. Therefore as soon as I can sort: https://github.com/gjb2048/moodle-theme_essential/issues/692. I'll do a release as there are quite a few improvements and bug fixes.
