What happened to the Google blocks?

What happened to the Google blocks?

I'm upgrading my Moodle 2.5 to 3.0 and want to continue to have a silent login from Moodle to Google Apps. But when I search the plugins for Google, Apps, Gmail, GSAML, etc etc, nothing comes up. Am I just using the wrong search terms? Is Google integration no longer a possibility? Or are my methods just old and I need to connect to Google in a different way?

Maybe here?  https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/Google_Apps_Integration

Some of those plugins were hosted on the github and don't appear to be available anymore.

But ... all is not lost ... a 'homegrown' ... using only custom menus and the Oauth2 plugin

https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/Google_Apps_Integration#Plugin:_OAuth2_plugin

https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=auth_googleoauth2

http://sos.tcea.org/moodle30/ .... feel free to use your Google Credentials.

If a School and you have GAFE the drop down menu URL's could point to the schools Google Domain (the one above doesn't) and for blocks no longer available, one could construct their own HTML blocks ... just links really ... so one does loose the little things like number of new messages inbox, etc..

The 'beauty' of 'homegrown' ... only one plugin required ... and most of the integration really done with nothing but URL's.

Works in FireFox, Chrome. and Chrome on Android.   Don't have any iPXXX stuff to test.

Of course, 'beauty' is in the eye of the beholder. ;)

My reading of that is that the plug in we need to silently sign in to Google using a Moodle session (GSAML) is no more. Sadly.

All that's left talks about using either Google credentials to login to moodle, or a 3rd party SSO (e.g. Shibboleth Identity Provider).

We have Shibboleth here, but are failing miserably (even with Google support) to make the new one work with google. So I was hoping to skirt around this by using moodle to SSO to Google Apps - seems that is a futile effort.
