I'm looking for the best way to implement something like business competencies and periodic assessment in Moodle.
Lets say I have 5 main competencies with sub competencies
- Competency 1
- subcomp 1
- subcomp 2 etc.
- Competency 2
- Competency 3
- Competency 4
- Competency 5
Some platform-wide manager can grade sub competencies (preferably maybe define some of the description grades like "You can easily communicate in english in writing and talking" or "Your talking is a little poor and writing is good" so he can easily use it to grade every user in the same way - and every description would have its own points, in percents lets say), and then from the sub competencies overall grade for competency is calculated (normal arithmetic average would be ok).
I know I can open the grade book, add new category "Competency 1" and insert inside that category sub competencies, then grade it and I can have my grade for the competency from them. But is this platform wide or only inside the course? Is it a proper way to use it, or maybe better would be outcomes or competencies? How to proper configure scales, if they are needed?
And in the farer perspective - how to merge it with course completion or grade depending on the quiz result?
I know moodle would grant me the best possible solution, but as always - way to achieve it is painful
So I hope you can share yours experience!
