Does anyone have any idea why bold/italic wont work on Atto text editor in vs. 3.0.4? I need Atto because it lets me put the URL of a youtube video in and embeds it. TinyMCE wont do that but bold works in it... I'm ready to loose my mind!
Nope, but I have noticed Atto uses "B" tags instead of "Strong" tags for bold. Does anyone know if this matters? One of my teachers insists of manually typing "strong" in place of the "b" tags in case the "web" stops supporting that tag. Is that an actual concern or do I tell her to chillax??
<b> is part of the HTML standard. There is no need to panic. It will go on working.

Atto uses functionality built into the browser to implement bold and many of the other buttons. The results differ between browsers. I believe that IE inserts a strong tag instead of b.
If you are having a problem, it would be helpful to know what browser to use to reproduce it. You may also try to use a different browser to see if it helps.
