I hope I can explain this so that it can be understood. We would like to display both the sum of grades and the average grade of completed work in our grade book.
Or a output showing both calculations; include empty grades and exclude empty grades.
All of our courses use categories.
Attached is an image of a sample course with each category set as natural aggregation, and including empty grades. (please disregard the category called “average”
Two columns displayed are GRADE (points earned) RANGE (points possible)
This shows the student how many points he has earned out of how many possible.
The next column shows PERCENTAGE (percent of points earned out of total possible)
Scenario one is can the percentage column be set to display the average grade rather than the percent of points? So in Category 1 the percentage would be 100% instead of 44%
Scenario 2 is can the course total show the average grade or percent?
The typical answer would be to use a calculation, but this is what we were using previously, and the maintenance of the grade books was just too much, and there was too much room for error.
If anyone has a solution for either of the two scenarios listed please share. It would be most appreciated.
