I've written a draft of a MOODLE tutorial in WORD format. It is over the 500K upload limit so you can find it by clicking on the COURSE button at www.abernet.org.uk, selecting the MOODLE course, and downloading the tutorial.
Part of my job as an ICT Development Officer in Aberdeen (Scotland) is to support school staff to make best use of ICT. One of the things I do is provide training to teachers.
This tutorial is aimed specifically at teachers in Aberdeen who will be using the version of MOODLE which is hosted on our website. At the moment, I've installed the most current development version of 1.2 (4 November 2003). There are a couple of minor bugs but it seems to be stable.
This is NOT a generic manual but is meant to be a guide to getting going with MOODLE for teachers with limited ICT skills. I have not attempted to cover all aspects of MOODLE. I've tried to provide enough support so that teachers can create a simple course and then I hope that they'll go on themselves to look at what else MOODLE has to offer.
The tutorial is part of a simple online course available at www.abernet.org.uk. this course has guest access.
This is a first draft which needs to be worked through by teachers before a final version is written.
I'd welcome any comments or suggestions for improvement and anyone is welcome to use/adapt anything if it is of use.
