Using Moodle 3.0.4 and have got to the point where we'll be bulk uploading users to the platform using a CSV file and the upload users options within Moodle.
I've done a few test runs of the process using another email i own and i notice it doesn't send out the confirmation email to the user once the user is added. The process is as follows.
> Go to upload users
> Upload CSV file with user details, allowing Moodle to create passwords
> Confirm users to be added (at this point no email is sent to those users so i continue on to the next step)
> Assuming no email was sent because the system doesn't confirm batch uploaded users (Or does it?) i then batch confirm those users, still no email sent
So my question is, is this by design or is it an error or bug that I'm going to have to try to fix?
We have over 600 users going on to the site via bulk upload and i see no way we can get confirmation to those users once they've been added, unless any way has any ideas? Single handedly emailing each and every one of them surely isn't what's expected?
