Grid Format - Restricting Access with Date

Grid Format - Restricting Access with Date

Hi

Using the Grid Format and have made a section hidden with Resticted Access, based on Date i.e. they can't access it till the future.

However, when I view as a Student and click on the section, I get this message:

Sorry, but you do not currently have permissions to do that (View hidden sections)

What I was expecting to see was 'This section is hidden until xxxxxxx date'.

The course is set to 'Show One Section per Page'. If I change it to 'Show all sections on one page', I see this:

This section has been hidden

Available from 1 October 2016

Which is what I would expect to see.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Advice:

Please report Moodle and Grid format versions when posting! smile - Please read the information at the top of the forum about this.  As nine times out of ten I won't even bother to investigate without this information.

Cheers,

Gareth

Apologies.

Moodle 2.8.7+ (Build: 20150730)

Grid Format: 2015040302   2.8.2.4

Hope that helps. And thanks in advance.

Thanks Dan,

I've been able to replicate in M2.9 and M3.0 too.  Need to think about the solution as complex.

Kind regards,

Gareth
