I think I caused the problem a while ago when my database got too big. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I was able to decrease the size of the database by exporting those tables to another blank database, and then re-importing them again. I think this did something to the indexes. However, it took a while for the problem to really take hold because I did this over 6 months ago.
I'm moving it to SQL Server R2 later today so we won't reach the size limit for a while.
Just a question though, would there be any harm in deleting a big portion of the records of those tables? We don't really need the old quiz data as long as we keep the scores. I'm just thinking that in the future as the database keeps growing maybe that would be an option?
