Hi, I am using the 2.9 version. I have users that will cut and paste text from excel as well as reference a number of url links in a textarea, or place a comma in a textbox. When I export that data, it is not being parsed correctly. For example, if someone put a comma in the sentence, or a quote, it totally messes the cvs export up, data in the wrong column is thrown all over the spreadsheet. So how does one force escaping of data in the controls so the users do not need to concern themselves with that?
Have you tried to set up the delimiter to e.g. " in the import/export settings in the csv view configuration?
I am aware this is an old forum post. However, I was wondering if there was ever a fix for this sort of problem when exporting entries as a CSV file.
I have developed a Professional Development Database using the DataForm activity. Everything is working nicely. However, when the records are exported to CSV, some data is not showing in the correct fields etc. This seems to be the same problem that David reported.
