Managing users in a cohort via “Home / Site administration / Users / Accounts / Cohorts”, you can find the following remark: “Removing users from a cohort may result in unenrolling of users from multiple courses which includes deleting of user settings, grades, group membership and other user information from affected courses.”
Thus, unenrolling users from courses results in deleting user information from the affected courses. As well, removing users from cohorts results in unenrolling the users from courses. Is there also a functionality like suspending or deactivating a user in a course / cohort, that allows for keeping the user information? How can you proceed, if you want to invite new students only to a course (via forum), and thus you unenrol “old” students from the course, but still you need to keep the quiz results of the “old” students?
