Hello,
I am trying to locate, or create, a seemingly simple block for Moodle 2.9 and required any assistance I can get.
Summary :
The block is for the student to accumulate points for doing various tasks, both off-line and on-line. The points would be given by a staff member when the student completed the task as a reward system. Then the student could turn in (spend) those points for various trinkets/items.
(** similar to the tickets received for playing Skeet-ball at an amusement park)
With traditional games, players are rewarded for achievements, finding Easter eggs, opening crates, get out of jail free cards, etc... and then being able to spend those tokens in a store later on various power-ups. Incorporating that idea with Gamification of Moodle would increase the ability to push students to participate in actions beyond just a graded assignment or assessment.
Example:
Positive behavior or positive example (1 point)
bring in caned goods (2 points each)
complete center activity (5 points)
Community Service/Volunteer (5 points per hour logged)
(Future design) Auto-points awarded:
Receive XYZ Site Badge (10 points)
Receive XYZ Course Badge (5points)
Level Up! XP level (10 points)
