Thank you so much for taking the time to respond - greatly appreciated. Agreed reading the manual normally does bring answers, but some times you can read the answer and still not get the picture and its great to be able to ask and have some one like you respond.
Okay so if is the max score is 100 and the pass grade is 75% then all my test results will effectively be a percentage, regardless of the points awarded to each question or the total marks for a specific quiz? If so, that works for me and is going to make things a lot easier than what i was doing. ( I did not know you could edit quiz score settings through the grade book - nice and practical feature.)
I would like to understand why moodle designed the score system the way it did, when typically most results are given as a percentage. Surely, at a minimum, it would have been better to have the max score default to 100 and not 10 to facilitate percentages. I pretty sure there is a reason to the way the did it and knowing it might help me learn a better way to do what I'm trying to do.
Is it possible to have users at the time of the test choose a topic to be tested from with in the quiz?
thanks for your time and assistance.
