The moodle site I'm working on is using version 2.7 and unfortunately cannot be upgraded easily due to some custom modifications. The developer documentation for Moodle 2.9 clearly state that cron can be enabled on each Moodle server because of parallel execution and locking of cron tasks. My question is: can the same be said about Moodle version 2.7? Of course, the reason this needs to be asked is that the documentation for 2.7 clearly state to run cron on one Moodle server even though MDL-25499 was introduced in 2.7. Thanks for any info!
