Quicktime and links

Hi

Thanks in advance for any help smile

I have added an HTML block on my front page and want to link to a QT movie, but not show it (as it takes up too much space and seems to lose some quality).

I appreciate the idea of the filter and have that turned on. This is because we are a music college and use streaming MP3s quite regularly.

Is there any way i can just link to the QT movie so it will load in a seperate window, rather than have it streaming live on the page?

Really hope there is!

Cheers - Dan J

Hi Dan,

A simple solution would be to disable mov files filtering by commenting out the code in filter/mediaplugin/filter.php.

ah that sounds a little complex for me!

thanks tho - we have settled now with a link to a forum, and then they can watch the video from another link. Not ideal, but resolves the problem.
