as my post from november did not get any responses on the Usability forum, I am posting it here.
Sometimes it is not clear that if an user selects a preference for a list, that preference will be saved to later sessions.
Let's say a teacher is browsing a participants list, then he/she filters the list to show only users with lastname beggining with a letter and then logs out of Moodle. When the teacher logs in to Moodle again and go to see another participants list, that list will still be filtered by that letter. Altough it may be good in some cases, and now MDL-49582 adds an option to reset preferences, it would also be nice if user could select to persist or not that options across sessions.
Does anybody agree?
