Teaching with Moodle

I have still to attempt to use the workshop or journal.

I want to encourage students to do the homework on days other than the morning of their class.

So I have set up a graded Jouranl with X questions where X is half the number of people in the class.

I have then set rule such that each question can be answered by only 2 people, and that if you are the second person to answer you will only be graded on content which is different from the student above.

I am not sure how draconian this is. I am using the excercise module this week for having students give in homework but I think that excercises are only viewable by the student that writes them.
