Hello to all, i am new to moodle and i need some help on the installation.

During the installation process, i came along a server check page. i have two issues which i don't know how to proceed on.

I get  an error message on the database which says my version needs to be updated and another error on the php_settings which have to be changed.

I have upgrades my database and changed my settings but i still get the same errors.

Sandra, what platform you're installing your Moodle on? and which database is  actually you're using? MariaDB or MySQL?

Also, once you've upgraded, have you restarted your DB Server? though upgrades are done with DB server stopped.

regarding OpCache, this is optional check, Moodle will still run fine without turning on OpCache, but turning it ON improves performance a lot.

Thanks for the reply. I succeeded in installing the moodle.

I am running moodle on ubuntu operating system and am using mysql database.

The problem arose because i had two servers installed in my system which

were conflicting with each other.

So what i did is, I uninstalled one of the servers which was lampp and set

apache in my system. After doing that the installation preceded well.

Moodle is successfully installed in my system now.
