I am a totally blind student who is testing Moodle as part of our university's consideration of whether to use Moodle over Blackboard.  I am also an IT major, so I've done a good deal of web programming.  Moodle looks pretty accessible out of the box.  Is there anything specifically you're having trouble with, or was that just a general question?

Hello Chris!

I am looking for a learning management system for our school for visually impaired and blind people. We are now considering Moodle or Atutor as our final solution.

You wrote that Moodle is pretty accessible out of the box. So what exactly, what features of Moodle are accessible, what are not? Which software do you use to access Moodle? What type of of screenreade do you use, what type of braille output device do you use?

Kind reagrds, Daniel

If you would like to contact me about what would be needed, I could create some.
