I am not sure but I suspect that this is a Moodle bug and nothing to do with theme.

I tested in several devices: smartphone, iPhone, iPad and tablet and it does not work.
I changed to Essential theme and it does work

Could you check in Clean and/or More please Irith?
Essential is a theme that Gareth puts a lot of time and effort into developing and his work sometimes hides what may be bugs in core Moodle. If the issue is a genuine bug in core moodle (as Mary suspects) then it will show up in Clean and More, but may not show up in other third party themes such as Essential, Adaptable, Pioneer or Flexibase.
To determine whether any potential bug is in fact a bug with core or with a specific theme, it is most useful to check the same behaviour in the core themes, rather than another third party theme.

You need to wait until it has been fixed in Moodle and then you can update. This is not a theme fix it is a Moodle coding problem.

I checked in Clean and in More it doesn"t work also in Moodle 3.0
