Hello I am looking for some help in sorting out Moodle single sign on using Active Directory and LDAP
We have two servers with which I want to use SSO.
Windows 2012 R12 running AD and a bespoke Windows MVC web site running with Windows Authentication enabled and Forms and Anonymous Authentication disabled.
Linux Ubuntu Version 12.04.5 and Moodle 2.9.4 using LDAP and SMB.
After much hair pulling and cursing I've got both sites independently logging in to Active Directory correctly. wbinfo -g and wbinfo -u work correctly on the linux box. The windows site was straight forward. I've attached my Linux smb.conf and apache2.conf
IE puts up a login box when first accessing either of the sites and logs in correctly using the same user name and password. However if you access the second site the login box appears again and login needs to be completed before accessing the second site. Once both sites are logged in then you can switch between sites without logging in again (which I'd expect). Chrome behaves in the same one
As I understand SSO should allow you to log in once to either site and then gain access to the second site without having to login again.
Have I misunderstood with way SSO works or is there a problem with my configuration?
Thanks for your help.
