I have created a book . In that book there are semester chapters like term1, term2, term3. In this case i need to access only for term1 .How to do it?

So far as I know, there is no way to limit access to only part of a book. It is either all, or nothing. The easiest way I can think of is to separate your book so that the material for each term is in it's own book. You can then control the access the way you want to.
With a book, you can hide pages.
Go to the book -- in the Admin block click on 'Turn Editing On' (at the bottom of the list -- don't confuse this with 'Edit Settings')
Then, in the book Table of Contents, you will see an eye -- click on it to hide that sub-chapter. Note, hiding a chapter/sub-chapter will renumber the remaining chapters.
