I am struggling creating a block that allows administrators to create a dashboard block containing a file that gets shown in all dashboards once they get reset all dashboards to default (No one else can modify dashboards).
When users log in back to their dashboard, a new instance of the block is created, changing the context and instance. I can't see any reference to the "original" block in the default dashboard to be able to retrieve the file I stored in my filearea. I'm trying to retrieve the file with an address such as /pluginfile.php/#contextid/blockname/filearea/#instanceid/filename.
Has anyone got an idea on how to tackle the challenge ?
