AM trying to download themes for site, from within my Moodle, but get response "remoteunavailable"
Plugin downloads ok, I hit install, it ties to install, then says "cannot install" and gives the error code remoteunavailable.
Moodle 3.0. on Bluehost
Also when trying to add another mail plugin for 3.0 get tool_installaddon/installing_non_installable_component,
I am having the same error code "remoteunavalable" on moodle 3.0 - Apache
I had to ftp the template plugin into the appropriate folder, then it worked fine.
I have the same problem.. please let me know how you resolve this.. thank you in advance..
I had same problem.
In my case restart web server I was resolved. (note: my environment using "php -S")

I am having this trouble now too (v3.1) - can't install any plugins. My host (asmallorange) has been troubleshooting for 45 min and they say there is no issue with the server. Help please!
There is a request to install plugin Poster (mod_poster) version 2015102601 from the Moodle plugins directory on this site. However, the plugin installation pre-check failed (reason code: remoteunavailable).
