localhost:8888/moodle/ - Cannot load the page

Hi,


I have followed all the steps in the following link:


https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/Installation_Package_for_OS_X


However I am stuck at step 6. When I put the link in the browser address bar, I get this error message;


This webpage is not available

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED


Can anyone help me to fix this?

I am running this on my Macbook Pro (OS El Capitan) and I am trying to run Moodle 3.0.2.

Try moodle:8888 in the browser - that is how I access my sites in Mamp.

Awhile ago, Usman told me to do the following.  I am not sure if this is still needed, but I thought I would share.


Go to Applications/MAMP/Library/bin and rename envvars it to _envvars.
