We are in the process of installing a VPS inside the company and i am wondering if the below configuration is enough to operate the Moodle 3.0 with good speed .
- CPU: 4 Core
- RAM: 4 GB
- HD : 150 GB ( 30 GB OS + 120 GB Data)
- OS: Centos 6.5

"Inofficially" I would say, a Moodle instance will definitely run in that VPS. Whether it would be enough for your company, that nobody can say. Not only because you didn't give a single number, also may be not even you know how intensively the site will be used!
If you want to keep the discussion going, try also adding everything you know about the virtualization environment your company has. (Read the above link again.)
Linux is a good choice; CentOS specifically is well-known amoung the regulars here.

It would be much useful, if you mention number of users concurrent and possible activities (Like quizzes, forum posts etc), as moodle can be installed on 512MB RAM, 2GB H/ and 20% of 1 core CPU without issues, the performance factor depends upon how many and what!
