Have had the above error for some time in my backup log. Course is a restored copy of an old course from last year, updated with attempted change from metacourse to normal enrolments. Have, perhaps, "tinkered" a little too much with course settings? Any help or suggestions on how to proceed. Have been able to perform limited backups on user data.
Regards, David

Seem to have solved the problem myself - had some "empty" old activities from before upgrade to 1.52 and restoring to new course. Thought I had removed them all but seems not. Anyway - now seems to backup fine.

Could you please define "empty" activities?

I am having this problem with a course in 1.8.3. However, I can't delete the "empty" labels, resources, and activities because while they do appear in the "items to back up" list, they do not appear in the course itself.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
