I tested the 'Problem', you are absolutely right:
To make a 'Database text filed' linkable to a Glossary concept, the 'Allow autolink' must not be checked. If it is checked, then the Text (In database Views) won't be a hyperlink.
But that is exactly Moodle designed, I think.
The 'Allow autolink' in Database activity
The 'This entry should be automatically linked' in Glossary activity
have same purpose: to allow text in anywhere ELSE to link to.
If the 'Concept' already in a Glossary, a text (anywhere inside your course) will link to it.
If it is not in a Glossary, but in Database Text field, a text (anywhere inside your course) will link to it.
You never need same 'Concept' in both activities in same course, it is confuse and hard to manage.
It is not a bug, but "simply a way to avoid conflict between database and glossary autolinking"
My suggestion: Keep the 'Allow autolink' ticked.
If you enter a 'Concept' into the Text area in Database activity. The text will change to a hyperlink as expected (When you ticked both The 'Allow autolink' and 'This entry should be automatically linked')
Which one the hyperlink will go to?
You can control it by changing the filter order:
Is it cool?
