Assign grading table throws an error when selecting an empty group in separate groups mode

I go to mark a particular assignment. That all works fine. Then I go to mark another assignment and I get this message. (clicking on the assignment results. I can't even get to the instruction page) I have talked to our tech moodle support and they can't seem to figure out what is wrong.

(They think it might be a coding error within moodle).


I have found a workaround which involves shutting down firefox and opening up a private firefox browser and clicking on the particular assignment works fine. But I would like to find out what we can do to fix this problem.

It says it is fixed in later builds...upgrade to a later build.
