My vote after a couple of days with my Moodle-based web site, http://linuxcapacityplanning.com, is an unqualified Yes! I'm planning to convert most of my other sites to Moodle in the near future.
What I've been looking for, and what Moodle gives me, is a way of building a site where I can interact with my visitors and build a community. Sure, there's a business/e-marketing intention behind all of this, but I haven't found anything else that's self-contained and comprehensive.
