We are a hosted site. We hope to use Flat File* enrollment, but can't seem to get it working. (Host does not help with enrollments.)
The moodle documentation re flat file has a few holes in it, specifically:
- Does the .csv (or .txt) file need a header row? I assume it does, and have attached my sample file.
- Is the first field name "action" or "operation"?
- I have copied and pasted the entire URL link from our SMTP site into the File Location box in the flat file enrollment settings. Does moodle need to know the SMTP server password in order to consume that file?
- Can I do this same test from my desktop? I have tried to copy and paste that file location, but no luck. Does the file have to live on a web server?
