We are using Face-to-face 2.8.0 (Build: 2015021300) with Moodle 2.8.7. and it mostly works just fine.
When users receive the confirmation message, it does include the data (specific details) for the Location/Venue/Room we have entered for the session. However when they receive the reminder email these fields are blank. The data is not being pulled through. Why is that? I have checked the confirmation and reminder templates and the fields in both are the same:
