just one LDAP user is able to auth

Hi forum,

We recently installed moodle to coach our employees and for this we wanted to use LDAP for authentification and creating user accounts.

Now here is the funny thing:

There is just one user in the AD that is able to log in. This is a user we created for LDAP querries form other sources.
All other users fail to log in, no matter if they have the same user groups or are within the same containers.
I copied the working user and the copy fails to authenticate.

I am probably missing something, but i have no clue what this might be. Any clues?

With kind regards

Can you provide details of what you have configured in the LDAP module settings (passwords etc. blanked out of course!)?

I would guess that you have not added a bind user in the settings and so the only person that can log in is the person with the permissions to access the LDAP.
