When embedding swf files there is a 20p margin around the entire flash. The .generalboxcontent style changes the color of this margin. I think there must be 20p padding in that box/table, but cannot, for the life of me, find the entry in styles_layout.css or anywhere else.

Andy, did you try Andy's CSS inspector? Use it with Firefox as a Greasemonkey script or with Opera as a user script. It tells you the values of the element you click on and lets you change them to try what works best.
When you know what CLASS or ID you need to change you will find it much easier.
