I'm working on moodle 2.9, I want to know if I can erase the button of "Add a new entry" from students, because I don't want students to add anything to the Glossary, is there any way?

The glossary is more of a collaborative tool. Have you thought of other tools to use? What are you trying to accomplish?

This can be accomplished by using the Approved by default setting.

Just set it to No, and no new entries will appear unless you approve them.
You could also try removing the capability mod/glossary:write from the student role in that particular glossary, from Glossary admininistration >Permissions

I apologize Marco...I thought you were wanting to not have that Add a new entry button show up at all, so I was thinking maybe a different activity would fit your needs better.
