Within-course default quiz settings?

Within-course default quiz settings?

·         Hi everyone,

Our institution is currently transitioning from Blackboard to Moodle, and most of us are still Moodle "learners."  I was unable to figure out this problem on my own:

Is there a way to create within-course default settings for quizzes?  I had an instructor who actually hand-entered the quiz settings one-at-a-time for 112 quizzes in her courses!

Thanks!

Gail

Hi Gail,

I use the plugin Sharing Cart. Then I set up a generic quiz without any questions, but with the settings that I want to use in a course and copy this generic quiz into the block Sharing Cart. Now I can use this generic quiz as often as I want not only in this course, but in all my courses, if I have the block installed. The timing needs to be adjusted, but that's it.

If you cannot install a plugin, the next best solution is to set up a generic quiz without any questions. Now duplicate this quiz as often as you need it and add the questions and timing if necessary.

With kind regards,

Hartmut
