Attendance (plugin)

I'm trying to get the Attendance calculation to appear as "Real" points in Grade Book. Because the Attendance Module demands a Maximum points, I have to tell it something.  What happens is that Moodle is taking partial attendance and scaling it to the maximum points. 

For example, an instructor has 20 sessions where Present is 5pts, Late is 3pts, and Absent is 0.  100 Total points, right?  We have had 10 class sessions so far.  If a student has missed one class and earned 45 points, Moodle is displaying 90 (90%) in Grade Book.  When you're using Natural to keep a total of points, this is not accurate or clear.  For one, it distorts the total points earned. 

Any idea how to get this to work more effectively?
