I am just reading a paper about students' perceptions of online assessment, and it cites a number of other papers about students' perceptions of online assessment, and they all start with words to the effect that "There has been limited investigation of students’ perceptions of online testing".

I think that, actually, there is no shortage of papers on the subject!

Colin: I spot a troll.

Tim: Perhaps what they should write in the beginning of their paper is... "In the 5min I spent searching Google School for papers that confirmed my idea, I couldn't find much." I always loved the papers that started with "It is widely know that teaching programming/computing is difficult and failure rates are high..."
