Tabbing through gradebook cells in Chrome is broken

Using the gradebook in Firefox (with all the Ajax stuff enabled), you're able to enter a grade for the first student, hit tab and it jumps to the next student, enter a grade, hit tab, repeat, repeat, etc. etc.

This does not work in Chrome. Does chrome have a different tab order/priority or something? The only way to get Chrome to allow you to tab through things is if you turn editing on in the gradebook but doing so disables the automatic sticky left and top columns, a big problem.

Using moodle 2.8.7+ and the latest versions of chrome and firefox.
