Greetings. I am trying to allow guests to see only course titles, and not to see the course summaries. Essentially I want to move the privacy wall further out one level. Currently a guest can click on a course on the front page and see the summary, but can't see the course contents. I want to prevent a guest from getting even that far, and stop them at the title.
So far,
- on the front page I have a combo box showing categories and course names.
- In site administration I have Appearance->Courses->"Courses with summaries limit" set to 0, so that only the course titles appear.
- In Users->Permissions->Define roles -> Guest (show advanced) I have set the course:view capability to "prevent".
... but when a guest clicks on the course, they can still read the summary.
In fact I set every capability containing "course:view" to "prevent", and even course:enrolview, but still no joy. I'm trying not to modify the code. Surely there's a way to do this.
