Where did this come from Steve?
Just curious - what is your evidence for your assertion here when you say "Students now look as it as if it is as antiquated as audio cassette tapes" ??? Chatting to a few of your students? A class survey? your dinner table with a teenager?
You say "Are there messages from Moodle that require more than 140 characters?"
What do you use forums for at the moment? Is it just reminders and news etc? ie nothing like interaction, sharing ideas, submitting plans, formulating hypothesis etc etc.
And "After all, resumes are being submitted in fewer". a total distraction. Not realy relevant to my classroom. http://www.businessinsider.com/your-tweets-are-more-important-than-your-rsum-2013-2?IR=T
I'd suggest this company still uses email. Just because most of the world uses email crap doesn't mean to say Moodle teachers can't use it wisely with educational benefit. As well as Twitter, Facebook etc.
