I actually expected your first question. I already have a couple of services in Azure and would like to avoid a big cloud vendor mix. Of course if noone got it working, me included, I'll have to look for another solution than Azure SQL (e.g. ClearDB (MySQL) which is available in Azure, but not very competitive in pricing or something complete outside of Azure e.g. Amazon).
