Hi there,

i am testing moodle for a family member, i have created a course , and created a test teacher and will be creating a test student soon, but i have noted moodle will only allow me to assign a manager and a course creator, i have assigned my self as both but is unable to assign my teacher or student, i am new to moodle and must have changed some thing along the way but i am unsure where to begin fixing my problem.

You need to understand contexts.

By default, Moodle will only let you assign a Manager or Course creator across the whole System. You can only assign teachers in a Course category or Course.

System, Course category & Course are examples of different types of context.
