Change 'Badge' to 'Merit'

Hi,

Is there a way to update our site so that it uses the word 'merit' in  place of 'badge'? We use 2.7.2. I would also like to change the word 'teacher' to 'tutor' so it matches the terminology used at our college.

Smiles,

Laine

Hi Laine,

As Emma mentions, you can use the language customisation feature in Moodle for changing any word or phrase in the interface.

However, regarding changing the word 'teacher' to 'tutor', an easier way would be to edit the roles of teacher and non-editing teacher in Administration > Site administration > Users > Permissions > Define roles and change the custom full name there.

If you only want to change the word 'teacher' in certain courses, you can do so via the course settings in the section 'Role renaming'.
