My uni is looking to start using Moodle 2.9.1, including for entering grades. At the end of the semester they need to generate a transcript for each student. To do this they need to export the grades for all courses for that semester (which are all in one course category in Moodle). Is there a better way to do this than exporting grades for each course and "collating" them into one spreadsheet? That would be a lot of work, especially given that those grades would be grouped by course, while we'd need them grouped by student. Even if there was a way to generate one spreadsheet per student (with all their course grades) that would be something.
I saw this old discussion https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=129901 which suggested using SQL. That would probably be even more difficult for someone non-technical. I'm hoping there is a better way by now!
