Do suspended users appear on course completion if the grader report doesn't show them? V2.8

I had a teacher complain that she had a bunch of students who had left and didn't want to see them on the completion report or grades.  I told her it was too bad because I had no way to remove them without wrecking reports.  But then I was thinking about it ( I frequently tell people things are impossible and then they're ridiculously happy when I find a way around it)...

If I suspend a user's enrollment, I can tell my grader report not to display suspended users and I don't have to see them in the grade book.  But most of my teachers have learned that the course completion status report is simpler to read and use...Does the grader report preferences also apply to the course completion status report?  If I suspend a user will it effectively remove them from completion status if I change my preference?

Hi Melanie,  I posted the same question a while ago and this option does not seem to work for completion reports.  Agree that completion reports are simpler to read and should have the option to not show suspended users.

We have just been asked to use the option to exclude suspended users in the grader report but even though it has been set to not include suspended users, it still shows them! We are on 2.7.4. Is this a known bug?
